Choices to make
- Style. Louvered, raised panel and board-and-batten are the most common looks.
- Color. A contrasting color draws attention to the windows; a color close to the siding is quieter.
- Size. Shutters look best when each one is about half the width of the window, so a closed pair would cover it.
Replacing old shutters
When shutters come down, the siding behind them is often a different color or shows old holes. We'll talk through how the new shutters cover that before the old ones come off.
